Sumitomo Rubber AKO Celebrated March 8 International Women's Day at Factory

As every year, special events were held at the Sumitomo Rubber AKO factory on 8 March International Women's Day to celebrate the achievements of female employees in the social, economic and cultural fields and to raise awareness for gender equality.

Within the frame of the events, firstly, all female employees were presented with flowers by CEO Komatsu and Factory General Manager Kouzumi at their workplaces. Afterwards, the celebration ceremony started where all female employees in the company came together.

After CEO Komatsu's speech on the ‘Importance of Women in Society and Business Life’ on 8 March International Women's Day, gift packages especially prepared for female employees were presented by the managers.

The surprise of this year's event was to take a tour with a specially custom-made Ferrari, accompanied by professional drivers in the special area determined within the factory and to experience the power of this car. 5 female employees, who were selected by lottery, had this unforgettable experience in the factory with a custom-made Ferrari.
