Ambassador Katsumata Takahiko and the delegation, which included several prominent diplomats from the Embassy of Japan, were welcomed by CEO Toshihiko Komatsu. After the welcome, CEO Komatsu hosted the guests in his office. They exchanged views on current economic developments and investments in Turkey. The e.ziex model of the Falken brand, which is produced for the first time in the Sumitomo Rubber Group's Turkey plant and specially developed for electric vehicles, was introduced to the delegation. The General Manager of the factory answered the questions of the delegation and gave information about the technical details.
After the meeting, Ambassador Katsumata and the Embassy Delegation were shown around the production facility. The Ambassador, who received information about the production stages on-site and visually, also chatted with the employees and congratulated them on their Ramadan. Ambassador Katsumata's advanced Turkish language skills surprised the employees.
Ambassador Katsumoto stated that they continue to fill this year, which marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Turkey, with many programs and collaborations and that they are happy with the good relations and sustainable cooperation with Sumitomo Rubber AKO.
