March 8 International Women's Day At The Factory

March 8th International Women's Day was celebrated at Sumitomo Rubber AKO Tyre Production Plant.

As one of the results of the increasing importance given to the issue of women's rights worldwide, in 1977, the United Nations General Assembly approved the celebration of March 8 as International Women's Day. Our company is sensitive to Gender Equality, which is also one of the United Nations Sustainability goals.

Sumitomo Rubber AKO organized a celebration program at Factory within the scope of March 8 International Women's Day. Our women employees, who continue their professional working life in many technical and social fields, from senior management positions in the company, who produce and develop, came together.

In addition to CEO Komatsu, Factory General Manager Hakoshima and Human Resources and Administrative Affairs General Manager Tajima, as well as the company's female employees at the campus took part in the meeting.

Speaking at the program, Sumitomo Rubber AKO CEO Komatsu said, "We all know that women are playing an increasing role in the economy with their knowledge and skills and their participation in the workforce. I would like to thank all our female employees for their great efforts in a challenging business environment."

After the speeches, the program ended with the presentation of gifts to the female employees of the two companies and a photo shoot.
